General Outline
Taking from the NLP perspective that every behaviour can be modelled (if someone has done it, someone else can always learn how to do it), Rizal intends to share his skills and experiences as a professional Learning Facilitator with teachers, lecturers, budding trainers and anyone else who may be interested in the field of knowledge sharing. He does exactly this through The Learning Facilitator’s Toolbox.
The Learning Facilitator’s Toolbox workshop invites the participants to explore and use the variety tools used by Rizal in his many high-impact programs. Among the topics covered in this workshop are:
- The LEARN Model - Rizal’s model of effective facilitation.
- Clear Objectives, Please! - making learning objectives practical and relevant.
- Plan It Out - developing a comprehensive training plan.
- Opposites Do Not Attract - ensuring participant buy-in.
- Building Rapport - bridging the gap between presenter and participants.
- Making Learning FUN - learn to use exciting activities and simulations to convey learning.
- The Psychology of Music - learn to use music effectively in training.
- Toys and Other Equipment - learning to use toys, noise makers and other equipment such as flipcharts and LCD projectors to support in the process of learning.
- My Stage My World - understand what goes into planning a holistic learning event and how to go
Program Objectives
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Write clear and specific learning objectives so that the learning event can be developed and customized accordingly.
- Develop a comprehensive learning event plan.
- Use a variety of tools and strategies to ensure a successful learning event for both participant and presenter.
- Add Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) as an alternative tool, specifically to improve participant retention with regards to the subject presented.
- Encourage active participation from their audience.
- Improve on their presentation skills by way of the subject they are presenting and how they present the subject.
- Enrich their presentation toolbox so that they may quickly adapt to different types of audiences and still give an impressive presentation.
- Apply an array of tools and techniques in their own presentations as used by professional presenters, trainers and public speakers.
